  • I am interested in booking with you, what do I do now? - First, CONNECT with me or call/text directly: 317.445.6266 to make sure I am available for your day. If so, we'll set up a meeting to talk over more of the exciting details.  A 50% deposit and a signed agreement is required in order to secure your wedding date. I suggest booking at the very least eight months in advance.  Most brides are booking around 12-18 months out, so don't wait!

 

  • What do your Wedding Photography Collections include: Detailed editing, wedding day coverage with Dauss, Custom FlashDrive with Full Printing Rights and Release, Private On-Line Viewing Gallery for family and guests, a complimentary anniversary session, and The DaussFOTO experience! Take advantage of a 10% discount on all A la Carte Items at the time of booking, including Albums, additional wedding day photographers..etc. 

 

  • Are you willing to travel to alternative locations for weddings? - I'm often asked to photograph out-of-state weddings. I've photographed weddings in Palo Alto CA, Capitola CA, San Diego, Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Louisville, Chicago, Tampa, Jamaica and many other places around the United States. I LOVE to travel! Contact me for details but I am willing to go wherever your wedding dreams take you! Australia..Greece or Japan anyone?!

 

  • How do you describe your style and philosophy? - My style is a beautiful collision of candid photojournalism and artistic editorial fashion photography. I do not ignore posed, traditional photographs, but my philosophy is that your photographs can be taken in a smooth and efficient manner as the moments happen naturally. This allows you, your wedding party, and family to enjoy your wedding as you planned it. Behind the lens I'm quietly unobtrusive, integrating artistic and creative qualities while keeping your photographs fresh and real. The end result is that your photographs tell a sensational story with no intrusion or distraction from the paparazzi.

 

  • How long will it take to receive my photos after my Wedding? Image processing typically takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks but you will be able to preview some teasers on my Blog or Facebook Page within a few days.  I will have previously scheduled a meeting with you to reveal your images in person, usually around 30 days after.  

 

  • Is there a way for friends and family to view my wedding photos online? - Yes! All collections include a private, access code protected gallery. Your family and friends will have access via direct url and use a code that you create. They can view your images and buy prints or additional print products if they so desire.  The gallery will go live after your reveal meeting and will remain active for 90 days.

 

  • How many images do you typically shoot at a wedding? - There are many variables that determine the number of photos taken at a wedding, including number of sites (bride getting ready, ceremony, formal photographs, reception, etc.), size of the wedding party, length of coverage (time photographing), etc. I typically provide you with approximately 500-700 edited images in your gallery from your wedding depending on your collection.

 

  • Do you bring an assistant? - A second photographer or assistant accompanies me for most collections or can be added as an a la carte item.

 

  • What type of cameras do you use? -  I use high end professional Nikon digital cameras, lenses and external flash units.  I also use Profoto and Elinchrom Studio strobes and modifiers. 

 

  • Do you have back-up equipment? - Yes, I typically shoot weddings with at least three cameras, and backups for all of my additional backup lenses, digital storage, lights and power sources.

 

  • How many images are included in the albums? - Every album is custom-designed so it is entirely based on your wedding and the collection you choose, but 100-125 images is about average.

 

  • What type of attire do you wear on the wedding day? - Unless I'm shooting at a beach location, I will typically wear a shirt, tie and vest combination. I prefer to blend in with the rest of your guests or wedding party, but let me know if you have any specific requests.

 

  • What is the Annual Anniversary Session? -  I offer every client a free 1 hour anniversary session each year following their wedding. We hold these shoots on two specific weekends of our choosing in late-Spring. If you are unable to make the dates we have proposed, we hope to catch you the following year. It is our way of keeping in touch.

 

  • What is the album process? - DaussFOTO works with several top quality binding company's to create beautiful, and artistically designed albums specific to your needs. I will have a draft designed for you at your reveal meeting and you can approve or request changes on the spot.  I will then begin finalizing your album pages. Once completed, you will be linked to your virtual album design online for approval. Once approved by you, it will be sent off to be printed and bound, which typically takes around 12 weeks.

 

  • Do you prefer working with particular vendors and wedding planners? - Most definitely. I would be glad to share my preferred vendor list with you. I realize that selecting professionals you trust is an important aspect of your wedding planning.

 

  • What is a print release? - A print release form is a document granting you the right to print your photos in any quantity and in any size that you please.  This document will accompany your custom USB Flash Drive.

 

  • Is Dauss really as awesome as he seems? - Yes.. Yes he is!!
